I just bought a new Skoda Fabia Elegance Estate 2 weeks ago for my wife from Dennis Horton & Son in Lincoln.

The car was bought through a company called Cars Direct who are very good and kept me fairly well up to date with what was going on. During the 3 month wait I had Dennis Horton & Son never contacted me once to give directions etc or anything of how to get to their garage. Their garage is a couple of miles outside Lincoln and I had no idea whatsoever of where they were.

Thanks to Cars Direct, when I got to Lincoln having come all the way from Germany, they picked me up and took me to the Skoda Garage.

When I picked the car up there was very little fuel in the tank, so as you can imagine I am not too impressed with Dennis Horton & Sons

My own personal car was bought from another dealer in similar circumstances, they were in regular contact giving me all the details I required and the fuel tank was over half full when I picked the car up

Surely Dennis Horton & Son could have put a bit more effort into selling their car, they also demanded all the money for the car a week in advance,so as you can understand I am not too keen in purchasing my wifes next car from Dennis Horton & Son

from other posts on here it appears that they are not the only dealer that give you the minimum. Tried for a full tank when buying mine but that was a none starter..even less so now. When I picked mine up had about two gallons in the tank.
