Car decided it wanted to go into limp home mode yesturday but no warning lights :thumbdwn: :confused:

Did the same again this morning. Took it to the dealers and they said there was one fault code. Low pressure between turbo and throttle body. They cleared the fault and had a check round to find nothing.

Got it home and checked and tightened a couple of thing up. Went for a quick blast to a club meet and every thing was fine. On the way back plodding along at 30 then same again no power. Every time i have been in traffic so not going quick but when going quick it's fine no loss of power.

Any ideas :confused: :confused:

Was fine today on the way to work.

Looking at that thread they were having performance problems. Mine is ok then just goes into limp home mode. If i pull over and restart the car it's ok again actuallly last night it was going the best it ever has after i restarted it.

Going EP Motorsport on saturday so will get Justin to have a look around.

will be dv or intercooler pipe where it has the pancake section.

make sure you check both ends...

Going to check them on saturday. It has done it with the bailey and hyperboost dv's so it's not that and all the clips were tight. May change the pancake pipe anyway.

Just been out and done 40 mile and ok still.

does sound like the infamous boost problem.

Well got my car back from the dealers today.

They have changed the boost pipe according to TarviaRS's findings.

My pipe was a issue C (latest version) but the engineer (young lad who must of got a tool kit for christmas) said the new pipe was a lot tighter fit than the old one.

Car does seam to go a lot better. Used to surge when cold but has not done it yet. Have to see how it goes.

Cold surgeing.. Exactly what does it do?

( the fault you described prev, sounded like low revs in traffic, not from cold )

Also does it only affect modified cars?

I had it done at Cumbo's

As for the surgeing it did it before it was remapped but it was more noticable after due to the boost increase. Only ever felt like it was doing it when cold.

Paul - did you get the intercooler pipe sorted in the end ?? hows everything running now ??

Car seams to be ok but not realy used it as fitting a new kitchen at home so only moved it up and down the drive.

Will find out next week for sure but was much better coming back from dealers

Mine is doing the same thing at the moment. Suspect it might be the same pipe too, as is throwing up a 17705 code (again)
