Arrrggghh !

Featured Replies

FIRSTLY ... Thanks to the chap that sent through the manual to me at light speed ... You're a gentleman.

Now the Argh ... My poor old Felly :(

Got the oil,tappets etc ...

It's now sat looking sadly.

The demolition crew from the construction site behind us has smashed the windscreen for me *$$£"%&$ and multiple rude words.

Now have to battle with insurance companies and windscreen people to get it back on the road.

Couldn't find a "smiley" to quite convey my mood ... :finger: will have to do.

But now you can secure a fresh, soft and elastic rubber seal for your new windscreen and postpone the "leaking Felicia" issue for many a good year - all on the demolition crew's expence! See to that the windscreen people don't forget it!

Always look at the bright side of life :D

No other bodily harm to any of you I hope?

(and I also hope that you didn't choose the wrong place for parking Clutterbuck so that you'll have to face the bill yourself)

I hate it when glass smashes, it goes everywhere!!! and all I have had to clean up are passenger windows, I'd be really peeved at clearing a whole windscreen

Most insurance companies offer a windscreen excess so it'll cost you £50

But since the demolition company are paying (I'm assuming) call autoglass and ask for a quote.

I'd be really peeved at clearing a whole windscreen

It would be laminated, so not millions of little pieces

Ok ... Demo company holdings hands in air and apologising prefusely (so they should).

No millions of pieces, just a pattern Spiderman would be in awe of

They are footing the bill .. Autoglass wanted £264.40 and could come out Sat afternoon (have to order glass in as so old :() phoned "National" and they want £175 ... and can be here in an hour ... !!

Demo company are happy bunnies and are footing a valet bill too, just in case there are shards, as i have 2 small nippers in the car. No need for me to involve my insurance at all, though your right about excess, we spent a bit extra and got comprehensive cover (thank the Lord)

Sooooo just sat waiting for the man in a white van to buzz me (oooeer missus, i wish:rolleyes:) and dazzle me with his skill.

SWEDISH .. thanks for the thought, we were not in the car so no blood and mess ;). No new seal though, replaced like for like and use existing seal.

... and Breath ... Innn Ouuuut Innn Ouuuut

Hommmmmmmm

Like the rabbit in Alice in Wonderland I'm too late... but I would have got the new rubber seal even if I had to pay for it myself (not paticularly expensive), I hope the old one will do the job though... with this winter weather you'll know before long ;) and if you suddenly find water in the footwell you'll know where it comes from.
