DSG to TDI and TFSI

Featured Replies

Just read what a Skoda boss in Sweden wrote today.

DSG with paddles will be an option for Octavia RS. In may for TDI and november for TFSI. He guess that the TDI will be the new CR 170hp.

I guess that they will show OII RS TDI-CR DSG att Geneva motor show

Good News indeed.:thumbup: Could be a really feisty motor.

That should please Mike. Perhaps he'll stop wittering on about Ford doing it and not Skoda.

still not sure why anyone would want it but there you go...

Snap. :thumbup::D

Some of us that have it have got it because of a fecked shoulder after 4 op's and a pinned left hip / pelvis :D

DSG does not take all the fun out of driving chaps, the more I am getting used to the DSG, the more fun in fact in can be. On the C&F today I spent a lot of time in manual mode in the slug which was great when we were on the gas, but when the shoulder started to ache and twinge, knock it into sport mode, let the DSG do the work and I just concentrate on waggling the big round thing in front.

It will never be to everyone's taste, but it's not as detached as a "full" old fashioned auto. :)

That was my immediate reaction when I saw this :rolleyes:

Would be interesting to have a test drive when one finally hits our shores!

oooh put them claws away:rofl::rofl:

One of my mates has a Golf R32 with DSG and i dont see what all the fuss is about with them. Launch Control is good tho but not sure if thats a seperate feature to DSG he said its not

Unless your a pensioner like Fluff :P then IMHO id prefer to be the one doing the gear changes. Much more fun trying to select 3rd in a panic and getting 5th :rofl:

I quite liked DSG but I am sure it was more about the novelty of having flappy paddles. I tested a couple of DSG TTs before I went for the manual.

The other thing for me is that it's just more things to go wrong....

Flappy padels can be installed...

but really would like to get 4x4 RS DSG, shame that it wouldnt happen.

Maybe those options come with the facelift. (and what will it really looklike?)

I like the idea of a 4WD VRs - that would be excellent.

Another 30 - 40 bhp too and it's Subaru Impreza territory.

Yeh a 4X4 TDI dsg, my dream skoda.

Maybe Seat will get there first.

you can keep the DSG thanks, and probably the TDi although I am coming round to it :eek:

Of course they are, but i suspect they only be 6 not 7 on the Octy. Fabia may have 7!

Mike

Question is will VRStu work out how to retrofit it :)
