does any one know the weight of a tank of derv, i just filled up and noticed a big diffrence, my mpg went down a few

diesel weighs less than water, so slightly less than the capacity of your tank, in kilos :)

Diesel weighs around 850 grams per litre so a tank will weigh 38.25kg

Stop worying about it as it's all relative.
