Hi

Can I use my HEX-CAN interface (that works natively with VAG-COM) with some other OBD generic software (like OBDKey)? I plan to diagnose a Ford (that has also CAN protocol). Will the interface be self-destroyed by the inbuilt protection mechanism?

I used ours with VAG Com in OBDII mode on a 54 plate Renault Scenic last Friday, it managed to come up with a fault code.
