I have to replace the window regulator on the passenger side of my sons year 2000 Fabia Comfort.

The regulator works but has sheared off the cable holder at the rear of the metal door carrier.

I have a number of questions

1. Do I have to remove the dock lock or can I remove the carrier with it in situ

2. Shall I attempt to drill through and replace the current bolts with a nut and bolt of appropriate length or will the thing fall apart. So do I buy a new one. Everything else is fine and plastic window catches are ok

3. What sealant shall I use when it all goes back together.

4. How much will it cost me for a garage to do it.

I am looking for a replacement for the sheared cable part of the regulator see items wanted so if anyone has a spare please pm me.
