Question on washers.

Featured Replies

This is really starting to bug me now.

Sorry if this has been asked before, i gave up looking after a wee bit.

After washing your window with the windscreen washers, there will be 3 sweeps of the screen.

After a delay of about 5 seconds it sweeps again. and in this weather, stuck behind a truck or car spray it justy smears the screen again.

Is it a relay that operates this as i cant hear it clicking?

How do you turn this function off?

I have access to VAS5051/2.

Cheers, Andy.

It's called a courtesy wipe and I think it can be disabled via VagCom.

You could use vag-com or you could pull the wiper leaver down to wipe the screen yourself just after the first series of wipes. Then the delayed wipe won't (shouldn't:D) happen.
