fabia problems

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a fabia estate tdi in black and is a great car apart from three faults these are

Leeking in the back doors- have read the posts on this and will fix in due time

PAS light comes on and the system does not work correctly- why is this and how is it fixed

Engine runs fast some times, this is after a few short drives then on on it will run at 1200rpm- again why and how is this fixed

I look forward to the response on this.

Thanks

PAS is probably the steering sensor. A common problem.

For the engine running fast, either the accelerator pedal sensor or the brake pedal switch(s).

A quick scan with VAG-COM should reveal an answer.

For the engine running fast double check there isn't a tuning box on the car as this can be a side-effect of overfuelling....

had a look for tune up box, but know this is a standard car (leek ans all)

My mate (ex skoda garage) thinks its the flow meter not picking up.

Yes the pas light is the senser ordered one should be here in a bit.

Thanks
