the black one is a german clone apparently,if you read car mags auto express ,autocar vrs will be late 2008,there were also some pics of what appears to be a vrs testing, its going to happen

Oh right, don't go much on its looks myself. Just my opinion, but rounded front is

too 'friendly' looking for vrs... then if it had the 170 diesel:thumbup:

Although Skoda have said they haven't decided if a vRS will be made yet?

Chris

I mentioned the black one on a thread in the Fabia 2007 boards, after seeing it on the German website fabia4fun.de

further investigation of that German thread I posted reveals it to be a dealer-special, tuned to 140PS, and with various extras:

special front bumper with "spoiler edges" and silver painted air intakes

17" wheels

40mm lowered springs (H&R)

Alumin. pedals

stainless steel kickplates

"Dynamic" sport seats

leather on gear gaiter and handbrake

3-spoke wheel with stereo controls

"special" Black Magic paint, (including the side strips)

+ other sporty details (i guess like the RS badging)

all for 22, 222 Euro (which comes out to just under £ 17k)

t,there were also some pics of what appears to be a vrs testing,

have you got a link ?

Mein Gott ...... £17K

Hopefully when Skoda do the "real" vRS they will price it a little more sensibly, that dealer is having a bobble hat n scarf :)

I think when it happens it will be an extremely nice bit of kit......so much more grown up after the MK1 (please do not all start condeming me as i did have a MK1 and found it magnificent in lots of ways)

Look at the MK1 Octy, everybody found this great but now see the replacement, both are good in their own right but to move forward things must change....

And change they must, as another ex Furby vRS owner myself. This sector of the market seems to be ultra competitive at the moment, with everything from the Panda 100HP at the lower end, Suzuki Swift sport, and then things like the Corsa vXR at the more "extreme" end.

The Mk1 cut a niche for itself, it's either niche time again or something special out of the hat.

:lurk: BURN HIM, BURN HIM!........ :bananadea :rofl:

Its all a load of cobblers.

There isnt going to be one yet!

When will people get this into there heads FFS!

WOW, someone has put Roomster Scout wheels onto a fabia, lowered it, put a splitter on it and stuck new VRS badges, well done for having a sense of humour!

KERCHING!!!!!

(Another tenner gets put into the pot and Decron contemplates which small carribean Island he will buy... )

Ooh, actually I haven't checked the New Fabia forum for fresh rumours for a few days, I might have enough now to become President of the USA.

and you know this is the case do you?, sure nobody know's for definate, but all indications are it will happen..so autocar, auto express and what car are all wrong too, can't see what they would benefit from lying or printing bull***t they are all saying late 2008.

Although you have to admit it's a bit suspicious that Skoda have said there has been no decision on whether a vRS will be made and you'd think if they were going to roll one out in a few months, they'd be confirming its existance?
