What is it for???

Featured Replies

Hello again,

Looking in the boot of my new fabia, I noticed that there are some small compartments one in each side of the boot closest to the boot lid.

Now I can understand that they are making use of the space which is great, my question is, why can you take the fronts off? Is something supposed to go in there that spans the whole width of the boot?

Ta, Rich:confused:

Fire Extinguisher fits ok, as does a bottle of screenwash!

(I only know as i do the displays at work!)

Cheers

Surely there must be a designed purpose, I dont see why VAG would spend the extra money making the front panels removable....

I wouldnt lose any sleep over it mate!

Like i said it holds bottles and stops them rolling round the boot, Oil one side, screenwash/water the other!

I read somewhere, on Skoda.co.uk IIRC, that it is to increase the width so you can fit in a set of golf clubs across the car? Not a golfer so I wouldn't know. :sqwink:
