The box is big, but I'm not sure that I like the case that much.

It's very tight around the PSU and to get the drive cables in and out when you have a gfx card with a PCIe power connector on it.

Quite Glad I saved the money, however if you didn't have a good old case to put everything in I'd say you could do a lot lot worse than that one.

I've got an Antec 9000 case, it's a great peice of design, just a little "cosy" with an SLi setup.

I ordered a 1kw Antec PSU and will fit that this weekend after a couple of minor performance problems with my SLi 8800's. I have got a Silverstone 600W modular PSU with dual 12V rails for sale now (yikes, thread hijacker)

I should really re-route and cable tie the interior of mine as it looks like a Wookies coat in there at the moment, but it all works and is under the desk in good airflow so I keep thinking why bother.

Should post pic's of the most untidy "enclosure"

I routed all the cabling around the back of mine so no airflow issues :D

And whats wrong with a wookies coat

Sausages:rofl:

I'll post a pic of my current mess later

I am to lazy to do that :) but at the moment, the Q6600 quad core is rock solid at 3.4ghz on air cooling and the 8800GTX SLi setup is running ok, and I have the added advantage that it keeps my office warm in winter :)

I have routed most of the mainboard power cables around the back but then have 4 x WD Raptors, and 2 x DVD drives in the case so there is not enough room for a mouse to fart. I took the Raptors out of my old Exchange server when I wound down my other business last year and commenced robbing all decent hardware and sticking it in my own PC's

I'm not looking forward to summer

I agree that the case is a bit fiddely... but i just took my time and have slowly got it how i want it now... with all the cables round the back.

I managed to squeeze the power cables for the graphics cars round the back and trhough the gap next to the upper drive cage slot.

Ive only got a 700w Thermaltake PSU and it powers everything just fine... with very LITTLE noise too!!

The silverstone case that Loz has is f00kin massive!.. im tempted to grab one for myself

Im still using my Lian-Li PC61 midi-tower.. ive had it 8 years now, and its probably seen at least 4 complete generations of hardware

at one point it was fully loaded with 8 scsi hard drives 3 optical drives, and a 50-something decebel Delta-fan on the CPU... :D ahh how i loved my Athlon Tbird

Its a *very* tight squeeze with SLI with these being dual-slot cards, i spent the first night after i got them dremmeling the northbridge H/S to fit them

Wish me luck I'm going in....................

Be back later hopefully

There is a pic of my chassis on another thread somewhere and it's huge but very good, if somewhat beige.

All sorted Bit fiddly but then I was trying to keep it tidier than this mess

Still got alittle fine tuning to do on the cabling

But it's lookin much better and it's lowered the mobo temps from 45 down to 28, so a much better enviroment for my equipment .....result!!!

45-28? WTF.

If your mobo temp sensor very close to one of the fan intakes as that is IMHO seriously low.

hhhmmm I think you maybe on to something, I think the asus probe is talkin ******. Check out the the cpu temp on it compared to the intel tool. A bit of a difference there:eek:
