Severly squeaking front suspension on Octy vRS!

Featured Replies

Hi all

The suspension on my Octy vRS has been squeaking like mad in the last few weeks. It only really happens when goin over those stupid speed ramps in new housing estates. And i do go slowly over them. It sounds like a squealing seagull!

The car has only done 30K miles and is a July '01 model.

Also front dampers feel non-existent. (Bouncy as feck!)

Any ideas?

Kenny

After 30K miles??????

Can't b true!

Shall i give Skoda a fone or will they just tell me where to go?!

(Better save up for my Bilsteins!)

Cheers

Why not?

We've seen clutches go after 6K...so anything is possible :D

Get it checked out, then decide what to do :)

Theres an Eibach suspension group buy on at the moment if a replacement set is needed ;)

Id check the anti roll bar bushes first, common as muck for low speed squeaky noises.

Either remove and lube them or fit the new modified parts from Skoda.

similar problem on my 52 Octavia vRS its was the anti roll bar bushes
