air intake

Featured Replies

got told by a garage yesturday that i could fit an air intake from a cupra as it has a bigger hose it'll suck more air in. i cant remember what engine he said though, i think he said a 180 somthing.:confused:

i know that is a might vague but i was in a rush and wasnt realy listening to him, does anyone know what hes on about and can tell me what he was on about. many thanks :)

I presume you have the 1.8t 180bhp engine and not the diesel Cupra?

If so, most people will advise that you fit the Carbonio Cold air Intake to that engine. I haven't tried one myself, but a lot have and love the noise it makes (whooshing Dump Valve etc...)

Hope this helps.

no i have a 1.8 tdi fabia,

I have just read the post properly! Ignore me mate!

I didn't think that you could fit a 1.8t intake to a fabia, but not certain to be honest!

I'll learn to read things entirely before posting in the future!

The Fabia has a 1.9tdi.

You can mount the air intake from a diesel cupra 1.9tdi 160bhp.

i'm guessing you may have a mk2 Fabia (white and 105bhp) the Cupra PD160 intake pipe may fit , it depends whether there is a difference in length between the old and new Fabia slam panel and airfilter box , if it is the same then the larger intake pipe should fit

the Cupra PD160

THATS IT! :D:thumbup:

and yes its the mk2, for some reason if you feel the pipe its very small where it intakes the air, and the pd160 is the same fitting just larger pipe ie more air! :):D:thumbup:

Many thanks.
