brake bleed sequence by ABS type

Featured Replies

Got the Gunsons eezibleed and the old milk bottle ready to go.

Where is the ABS hydraulic unit located ?

I'm trying to workout whether bleed sequence is

osr

nsr

osf

nsf

(for the mark 20 abs system)

or

nsf

osf

lsr

osr

(for the mark 60 abs system)

according to Haynes 98 to 04 chapter9

and section 22 figure H45333/4.

Silly Haynes doesn't say where to find the ABS unit...

Though other posters suggest in order of distance from master cylinder

nsr

osr

nsf

osf

which would make sense as draws off most old fluid first.

Answering my own question.

It's behind the air filter on my car.

Just followed pipes from the brake servo until I found it.

On my ASV I've got a 100mm depth unit with ESP so it's seen me coming.
