Radio Code........ Bugg3r

Featured Replies

Hi

This is a query for my Dad. He has an 03 Superb he bought used a year ago, and recently he had a problem with water getting into the rear of the car via the heating vents. After following advice this Forum he cleared out the drain holes around the pollen filter (Great Advice by the way !! They were indeed blocked). Unfortunately he had to disconnect the battery to remove the cover. Now his Radio/CD/Sat Nav is asking for a code that he doesn't have. I have listed below all the numbers of the top of the unit in the hopes that one you can help him.

Thanks in advance for any help guys.

I take it your Father hasnt got the manual for the sat nav system then? As they are usually printed on the inside of the front cover / first few pages.

Sorry if this is no help at all.

your dealer should be able to get it, they'll need the serial number, car chassis number and some proofs if ID.

No, it didn't come with any of the manuals unfortunately.

Thanks anyway :-)

Thanks for that, I've just e-mailed Skoda as well. Thought I'd try a two pronged attack by posting here as well, as the advice is usually spot on !!

My symphony just comes up SAFE, then after about 3 seconds starts working, even after disconnecting the battery etc.

Pop into a dealer, they will sort it out, probably for a small fee though :(!

This just sits there saying "CODE". Probably will end up going to a dealer and paying their 'small ' fee.

You know you mean 'stealer's'................:D

Hi, had same problem myself

Try removing the fuse that supplies the radio from fusebox on RHS of steering wheel, then replace after a minute and see will it work, as far as i know some of the radios will only work if they are fitted to the car with the correct engine control unit .

This did the trick for me,

regards
