New Car

Featured Replies

Hi all, long time no post.

Well after about 6 or months since selling my Fabia vRS I have now come full circle and bought myself a Octy vRS in Black Magic. I have come from a A3 3.2 Quattro Sport and tbh I don't miss it one bit (apart from the engine note).

The best part with changing however is the fact I got money back when trading in my A3 :)

Future plans I have at the moment is get the car detailed, Remapped (opinions please), and as I have wanted one for ages a private plate.

Anything else I can do?

Cheers

Welcome back ;)

A quick search will show you there is LOADS you can do :)

I was similar to you, - came from a 3.2 V6 albeit in the TT and I also miss the engine/exhaust note.

I also benefitted from getting money back after trading in the Audi :)

very nice

nice car you have there. Looks great in black.re the plate, I have a private plate on mine, and they do make the car stand out that bit more. Are you after one to do with your name, or the car? There is a vrs plate for sale on here for reasonable money

as for the re map, i would go revo, i had the free 5 hour trial and it was amazing. but thats just my opinion, a lot of others recommend jabba. Plenty of other mods to do, but personally I would get the seats leathered, someone on here just had it done and its looks great. Especially black car with black leather...sweet!

Eibachs and Koni FSDs will be top of the list when mine arrives soon...:D

Thanks for the replies guys.

Re the plate, it will be for both myself and my wife. Currently looking at 'T22 OTE' which is my wifes initials followed by the date we got married, followed by our initials together.

As for the remap, I have mainly been looking at jabba sport but I think I will also check out the others. I don't want to push the engine to far but 250BHP (to match the audi) would be nice.

I don't think I will look at the leather seats at the moment (I really like the standard ones) but its definately something to look at in the future.

Additionally what are your opinions on Continental Contact Sport 3's? These are what are on the Octy at the moment (and practically new). Most reviews I have read stated they were excellent and from my initial impressions they are although I just thought I wuld ask anyway.

Cheers :)

I thought they Conti Sport 2s, infact didn't even know there were Conti Sport 3s. I thought the Contis were OK but more expensive than other better tyres, i.e. Goodyear Eagle F1s, Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas etc.

I didn't even realise they were any good at all until I did some research. Judging by the prices though they are quite expensive (compared to say Eagle F1's)

The grip levels though are tremedous (as I found out going a tad too quick at night on a road I don't know 100% - good brakes too lol)

xaser04 - nice car - and of course the best colour!

Quick word of advice - blank out your reg plates on the pics - you don't want any unnecessary fines popping through your letterbox!

LOL.. how many people trading in the Audis. lol we are getting rid of the A3 sline for a new 08 VRS :) as yet I don't think anyone believes we have done it
