2.0fsi Big Problems

Featured Replies

Well my car with 49.000 on the clock has now been in the garage for 7 weeks i have had a new egr valve a complete new head a new throttle control and manifold and still it is not working , a chief enginner from Skoda has been down to look at it and still it aint running right any ideas where or what i should do now .

Ask (demand?) Skoda to take it in part ex on a replacement given their chief engineer doesnt even know how to fix it? Worth a shot given they have had it for 7 weeks.

I'd suggest agreeing with the garage/skoda UK a deadline by when they have to fix it or exchange it for another car of the same or less age/mileage in the same spec or offer you a very good cost to change on a new car.

At the end of the day if they can't fix it then it isn't fit for purpose, but at the same time i think giving them another week or two to talk to the factory might well help.

Never know, you might end up with a new engine FOC at that point, which would be great after 40k :)
