If i boot it over taking someone all i can here is the loudest noise coming from the arches!

I no what it is, its stones gettin flown up hitting the insides, but does anyone else have this problem? Is there ny thing i can do about it? Line the arches maybe?

It must be, but it happens when driving on normal main roads where there is no visible loose stones? It seems like the slightest bit of grit on the road does it?

Dynamat on the arches inside the car would reduce the noise.

I hope you don't overtake me if you flick up that many stones! :P

Yeah my Fabia is the same really wierd, whenever your own a/b roads it kicks up stones and makes the almightiest bangs.

It bugs the tits out of me :(

They'll make it worse as they are very sticky and the gravel will stick to the surface and then get thrown off!

Are you getting the traction control light coming on? Could it not be that you are experiencing Tramping i.e. The wheels leave the ground momentarily then when they regain traction they give a bang.?

Only time this has really bothered me was on a newly laid road with loads of chippings, but i dont drive to briskly on this type of road as there is a greater chance of sliding.

If you throwing that much up then you must have a hell of a lot of stone chips....

Its only stones in the arches, y car has the usual stone chips on the bonnet but nothing major.

I dont get the traction control light come up either. I think il just pad the arches out abit, might make for a quieter ride anyway
