Hi guys,

I have the Fabia2 and are looking at fitting 18" on it. I have only seen 1 pics of this where it seem to work, and it was even a roomster.

Is there anybody out there who has this mod done or have some pics.

I have tried 7.5x18 ET 35 and they didn´t work. To far out from the wheelarch.

The original Skoda 7x17 has ET 41.

Hope some of you guys can help.

ET38 then?

Perhaps ET38 but if someone has 18" fitted i´m all ears.

Not sure if I'm teaching granny to suck eggs here but you'll increase the wheel diameter by 0.5inch, so with an offset of 41 at 7 inches you'll need a new offset of 47 at 7.5 inches if you don't want the wheel to protrude beyond the wheel arch; go lower and it'll stick out, go higher and it'll pull in.

In either case though you'll have less clearance to the strut housing so to counter that you'll need to go for a lower offset [push the wheel out] to give more clearance. it's worth measuring it all up first.

The wheel I have now is 6,5x16 and ET 43. The 7x17 is ET41. Does this mean that an 7,5x18 should be around ET39.........(perhaps40)?

Got to get a wheel and try.

A 7.5inch tyre [the diameter is immaterial unless you change the rolling circumference] will have an equivalent offset of 56mm in order to sit at the same point as a 6.5inch et43 but you will be around 20mm closer to the strut. To get decent clearance I would suggest you lower the offset to push the wheel out and away from thr strut, maybe a 10mm spacer and et46? This shouldn't extend beyond the arch and may give you enough clearance - measure ,measure ,measure is all I can say .
