Fabia vRS - Which Autotrader Category?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Just about to put my vRS in Autotrader, but they ask which category it should go in. It'll be either:

Performance and Sports Cars, or

General Cars

Which category would you flick through expecting to find a Fabia vRS? Obviously I want to maximise the number of potential suiters...

Thanks in advance,

Stu

Performance, I'd say

Make sure you take the option where any enquirer contacts you via AT. Otherwise your phone will be ringing off the hook and your inbox bulging with emails from 'potential buyers' who want to 'pay you extra to cover export costs'. The sister-in-law had her old Picasso on AT and had to give up answering calls from numbers she didn't recognise, it was so bad...

Yeah, I tried using Autotrader to sell my wife's Kalos. We got nothing but spam and these calls from credit brokers "who have potential buyers" but need £75 to release the list to you etc. They are parasites who have made selling a car privately in the the UK a lot more difficult. The autotrader ad was a waste of money and my time.

I would give Pistonheads a go.

there's always ebay classifieds:thumbup:

Yep - sadly I'm 26 days into a 28 day ad with only one contact!

Might give Pistonheads a whirl. Is on here, Ebay and freeads at the moment.

Did have it on the 'Trader for a couple of weeks online only and got nothing - not even the spammers :thumbdwn:

Thanks,

Stu
