Featured Replies

Just joined. I have (or rather my wife) has a 1996 Felicia 136GLXi (one of the last before they changed them to GLi and the GLXi became a 1.6).We have had it from new, it was mine, it's now hers. Up until last night it went beautifully, last night it died in the middle of a roundabout and now won't go :( I've changed the Hill Sensor on the flywheel as the RAC man said this was giving wierd readings on his equipment, but it is still dead. Waiting for a nice man with a van full of whizzy gadgets to give it a proper once over in the daylight.

Other than that it has been fab, it has been places that only Land Rovers normally go (and been pulled out by a few tractors in its time) . It's done over 115k, still on its original clutch, had two altenators mind, tyres last 40k (wife is a gentle driver), had two back boxes, a temperature sensor and a windscreen. It survived a yoof in a Saxo who didn't see the stationary traffic (needed a new lower panel at the back). Unfortunately it is rapidly becoming more rust than metal (did Skoda buy their steel from the same place Fiat used to?) and the boot fills with water (must find that leak one day).

But does it owe us anything, I reckon not, it has been a faithful workhorse, it just needs to last another 12 years now ;-)

MG

Oh incase your wondering (and even if your not) I also have an MG Midget and my day to day drive is a Peugeot 407SW, if only Peugeot's were as reliable as Skodas, I can but dream

Thank you for the welcome one and all. Hopefully after the nice man and his gizmo's have had a poke the Skud 'll be back up and running.

Mind it's not a true Skud, that was my 1988 130GL, top motor, front seats were like arm chairs and you could get loads of camping gear under the bonnet ;-)

Hi and welcome

Won't dispute the Felicia reliability , but now and then odd things happen so hopefully you will enjoy the information in the Felicia section.

And take care of your Midget!

Hello :)

Welcome mate.

I've had a couple of MG BGTs in my time - love them!

Good luck with the Skoda

Well it is all up and running again, seems the coil was shot. Took it out for a run tonight, feels better than it has for a long time, no longer hesitating when you put your foot down, so woo hoo
