Battery life from new?

Featured Replies

Can you tell me how long your Octavia batteries have lasted from new before needing replacing? Mine is still going after almost 7 years from new, with 104000 miles on the clock. 110 bhp, 1.9 Tdi version. Have I done well or should I expect it to last longer? TIA

Mine is nearly nine years old now.

It all depends on how well you look after them.

My last one was going strong on my previous car after 9 yrs too.My current car needed a new one straight after i got the car.

SHMBO's old Fiesta battery was 11 years old when it finally started to fail!!

Mine went on about 50k iirc

Mine went on about 50k iirc

Same here. 50k/4 years

7 years/95k/no problems yet

My old mondeo was still on its original battery at 10 years old with 150+K miles, mind you it was starting to fail.

2001, 110 TDi, 126k replaced it a few weeks back as one day it decided to have no charge. Charged it back up and it was ok for a week or so, but as I had purchased a replacement I decided there was no point lugging the new one around in the back of the car, so fitted it the weekend before last.
