Featured Replies

My wife and I have a skoda each. Mine an Octavia 1.9 tdi 2003 Estate model from new (second one) 140000 miles on clock. My wife has Habia 1.9tdi 2003 model 55000 miles on clock (had from new - the car not my wife - although!!). Live near Shrewsbury, England. Keep on thinking of replacing Octavia with new Skoda but it is going so well AND I love the front end BMW (??) look. The new models are too heavy looking for me.

I do have one query if anyone can answer for me.

I have the long service intervals on my Octavia. I could do with buying the correct oil for the Octavia (long service) and the Fabia. I seem to get confusing answers to the correct oil to use from both my local dealers. Can anyone offer the correct answer and where I may be able to purchase in 5 litre packs in the uk.

Also the temperature sensor on the dash board stays on and my dealers say the sensor needs replacing. Each time she goes in for a service they forget to do it. My local (not agent) can do it but they need me to get the part. Where can I get it from quickly and is it easy for them to fit. My dealer says they have to do it because anyone alse fitting it can muck up the engine settings??

Cheers
