Ohhhhh noooooooooooooo.

Wouldnt mind bigger wheels, lowered suspension and a remap/chip...but body bits are a no-no for me. I have a thing about original paint work and resprays.

Basically I start to go off any car that I have that needs respraying/bodywork done.

Now that I like.

Dreadful confession time - If I'd known I was going to get an Octy L&K hatch instead of the estate I ordered, I would have cancelled and got the Superb.

As if...

You would have been another like Des then....longing and pining for your Octy.

Pipe & slippers for Xmas Jon ? :P

You're getting old mate :D

Indeed, but look at it this way, I would have had more room inside the car, the boot is adequate, the price difference isn't that much, the gadgets and luxuries are comparable and the thought of playing with people on track with a supposed barge would be so much fun. It was an option I considered in the first place but decided an estate was more what I wanted. Do I miss the RS? Sometimes. Most of the time I'm happy with what I've got, just been thinking lately that the Superb would have been a better choice than the Octy hatch.

The Superb is fine most of the time, but sometimes when you want to play with some corners I wish for something stiffer and perhaps smaller.

But then, with the proliferation of speed cameras and traps, a more sportier handling car would be even worse for me..the Superb is plenty quick enough without slapping you in the face with it, as my license would possibly come under threat even more than the Superb does now.

Yup, for the bulk of my miles, it's cruising on motorways. Would still put the KW3s on and remap it, so all would not have been lost :D

If i'd bought the 1.8T Superb instead of the PD100 I would still have it.

Sort the suspention ,remap it and you've got the best of both worlds, i just could'nt get on with the diesel {and the odd steering}:( . I think Andy would agree that the hatch gives better access to the boot, but it is large like the Octy.
