Re: Fabia steering angle sensor or Yaw sensor?

Featured Replies

I am a newbie and run a Fabia Vrs purchased in Oct 2003. I have had problems with my PAS light coming on, there appears to be nothing wrong with the steering itself. I called at my "local" dealers, a round trip of around 70 miles, they advised a new battery as a 1st reaction, but couldn't get one for around a week. I had a previous petrol engined Fabia which did have a lot of trouble with sensors, once they were replaced, the "faults" went away! I'm afraid I thought that here was another duff sensor problem but the garage wanted to sell me a new battery! I even charged the battery overnight, plus the 70 miles running, the alarm returned the next day as usual. However, it does seem that perhaps the dealer was right, but didn't explain the reasons very well. Reading the Technical Guide thread below, it now makes perfect logic and looks as if I will have to make the trip all over again shortly!
