Non lowering springs??????

Featured Replies

Hello, ive recently snapped a suspension spring on the front drivers side of of my oct vrs, i realise its better to replace all four and i wanted to get some slightly stiffer springs but without decreasing the height significantly as i go fishing (too much!) and ive already ripped off my plastic engine undertray. Maybe its me being stupidbut ive seen some koni springs on ebay for £90 ( cheaper than buying standard vrs springs from factor), they say they will lower by 35 mm, now heres a really stupid q?? Is that a further 35mm as im sure a vrs is 35mm lower than a standard octavia, if so where could i get some stiffer springs that dont lower or maybe lower no more than 5 - 10 mm and dont cost the earth,Any help will would be cool , thanx, Vin.

Dont know if this would work but what about buying lowering springs for a non VRS octavia that would lower a normal octavia to the height of the VRS??

Cheers bud, what a carry on! Havedone a lot if research into vrs springs today and the top and bottom of it looks like there are no springs available apart from h & r or a skoda dealer which are 68 + vat per spring, all the springs at the factors are for 1.8t not vrs which are a totally different set up to all other skodas, it basically has mk4 golf sport front springs and bora rear, but they wont go onto mine either as diff fitting, h&r me thinks, £150+ vat, meant to be brilliant as well and a lot cheaper than stock skoda springs from a dealer, nowts never simple is it!!! H&R Springs? Which supplier are they from?
