3 Fault Codes

Featured Replies

Hi All Ive been a long time reader and relatively new poster but this is my first question to everyone

I bought a fault code reader off ebay

VW AUDI SEAT SKODA Car Diagnostic Fault Code Reader UK on eBay, also, Diagnostic Tools Equipment, Garage Equipment Tools, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 06-Mar-08 16:21:15 GMT)

and I have the engine management light on the display

When I plug in the fault code reader I get the following codes:

16420, 16414 and 17522

I know one of the codes is for a faulty lambda sensor which is also causing the engine light, what I dont know is which lambda sensor is faulty (pre-cat or post-cat) and I dont know what the 3 codes actually are.

If anyone can help I would really appreciate it. Thanks very much. Ger

After doing another search I found

17522 P1114 Bank1-Sensor2 Internal Resistant too High

Does anyone know what this means

Sorry if I'm being a pain

Sensor 2 is the post cat one. Looks like the heater has gone in it which means repacing it.
