What does it mean when the yellow Engine Management light is flashing?

I have a running problem (see seperate thread) with the light showing.

Then at a certain speed ,revs or throttle level EML will start flashing repeatedly:eek:

Is this a "do not proceed any further " type warning:thumbdwn:

I had this the other day. Could be coil pack going/gone. Take it to a garage asap.

Flashing EML = multiple faults.

:iagree:, but that said a single component failure can throw multiple fault codes.
