Can anyone explain what a Leon TDi is doing leading a load of 3 series Beemers around a track

Not that there's much in it - this isn't a "diesel is better than petrol" thread, more a "front wheel drive diesel lump vs a rear wheeled drive 'ultimate driving machine' petrol isn't quite the walkover you'd expect!" thread ;)

It's quite funny :)

Do you think Tarquini got over 40mpg?

Can I get mine remapped like that?

Probably significantly more MPG than the Beemers!

Yup & thats how the Audi's won Le Mans too.;)

Must say the Seat's do look good round the track, funny watching a diesel pulling away on the straights:rofl:

The alltidue is having an affect in Brazil, and also the next round in Mexico. Looking at the lap time the Beemers were quicker around the lap but the TDi left them on the main straight. Makes for interesting racing.

It's pretty well-known that the organisers have been "out to get" the Beemers for at least 2 years now, which makes Andy Priaulx' achievement in racking up 3 WTCC championships in a row all the more impressive!

And even more impressive that Thomo was in contention to win the championship at the last round last year in an old fully developed car.......pity he was missing from Brazil this year.
