Spent 6 hours at the weekend washing and cleaning the wifes Citroen C2 VTS. Even took all the wheels off and got rid of all the brake dust and salt etc. Also cleaned all the tar spots off, then gave it a good wax. Looks pretty good? She still hasn't said thanks!! Women, can't live with them, can't live without them!!! :finger:

I actually quite enjoy cleaning the wife's car, thanks or no thanks. Plus it means I can practice my T-Cutting technique on someone else's car! ;):D

If I didn't clean the wifes car, she would end up taking it to the Albanians down the road who do a half arsed job and charge a fiver, and she would bring it home and witter about it.

Plus if I am outside I don't have to talk to her:thumbup:

There is a car wash place in Stoke on Trent that I used to take the company Navara too when I was visiting my folks. They:

Rinsed car with pressure washer,

Car soaked with soap with pressure washer,

Cleaned all over with wash-mitts

Rinsed off with PW and re-soaped if somewhere missed

Wheel arches, wheels done, brake dust solution used too,

Water dryed off with those rubber blade things,

car moved to side and vacummed inside,

rubber matts taken out and PW'd (carpet ones vacuumed)

Dash and doors cleaned

tyres given that wet look shine

All interior glass cleaned with chamois leather,

free air freshener.

How much for all this?

£10, yes TEN pounds, and thats for a 5.5m long pick up FFS!!

What do we get in Scotland at Autoshine express?

Car soaped with detergent that wont move dust, PW's off and a layer of wax solution chucked through the PW.

All for £7.50............

Why dont you give your vehicle some love instead of these swirl meisters?

I took mine to the local Albanians and, no word of a lie, the chap pointed at my beloved and said in heavy accent "communist car"

I believe Albania was communist more recently than Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic).

A clay bar, or failing that autoglym srp usually does the trick.

cheers for that ill have to go and have a look over the weekend

Looks good that mate. I like washing swmbos Yaris. Still trying to find enough time and good weather to gic=ve mine a real good going over.

I would provide plentyful mugs of coffee and bacon sarnies if someone spent that amount of effort on my car. Alas, tis only me that cares enough to keep it looking good (which isn't that often). It's just a shame I don't care that much for bacon anymore

I took it as a compliment as they were especially impressed after asking how fast it went and then finding that said "communist car" had just made it back from Western German Autobahns and made rapid progress down them.
