Fabia gone but not forgotten...

Featured Replies

Hi all,

It's been a while since I've been posting on here but I've been away sorting out a job and recently a new car. I decided after 3 years of proud ownership that it was time for a change from the fabia and back to a hot hatch petrol considering I no longer rack up the miles like I used to.

This was my furby's last pics from a photo session I had with some VAG enthusiasts from the local area:

It was a 2005 54 plate with just under 53000 on the clock and a few additions:

Allard VT2 turbo, Forge FMIC, Sachs clutch, Seat Sport strut brace, Jabba rear ARB, Eibach springs, PD160 air intake, BMC panel filter, Blueflame turbo back exhaust and APS custom remap.

Managed to sell it pretty quickly and now i'm carless for a month until my new car comes. After doing a few test drives and looking around for a while I decided on a new Renaultsport Megane 230 R26 F1 Team II (gotta love the long name lol). It's such a nice car to drive and goes like a rocket and handles like a dream thanks to the LSD. Lets just hope I have as much enjoyment as I did with the furby for the next 4 years or however long it lasts me :)

Anyway sorry to bore you all just thought I'd share and thank you all for making my Furby ownership a good and expensive one.

Hi Phil, yeah it's a bit quiet on there though which is why I never post much. Still on there coz I was part of BucksVag before it even became a site we used to have our little group on ukmkiv's and been to pretty much all the MK meets apart from the very first. I'm not gonna leave just coz I changed my car as I've made some good friends over there with the guys that started it so wouldn't want to lose contact with them. Same way I'm gonna stick around here too and pop in every now and again as it's about more then just the car :)
