hi there i think i have one in stock if you are interested gavin

I sympathise too, mine went pop last week, The shaft was sheared in two!!

They are about £900 from the dealers

I got mine through the local garage and they got it for £600 from KKK direct.

You could try this way, or as Steve says, try using the site to get one?

Nothing against the dealers but get one elsewhere to save money.

Is your car still in warranty?

The turbo would be from a VW engine but I think that the makes can vary from KKK to Garrett?

Ben

Pretty sure there is one in the for sale section.

Allard may well have some stock pd130s in. :) Might be worth going for a VT1 or a VT2 though as there seems to have been a plethora of self destructing PD130 turbos recently. Allard Motor Company

No exchange version available?

I know that the Ocy A4 TDI version is on Back order...

I'd just keep thinking that a standard, compatible Garrett from Derv Doctor would be very tempting, in my book....

Folks,

Its one from a dealer I need !!! It's under warranty still so lucky I won't have to pay ...

Just trying to source one somewhere in the country and then hoping skoda have a mechanism for transferring through the dealer network ..

ANY HELP GRATEFULLY RECEIVED !

Gavin - Is that a dealer one in stock ?

If Skoda don't have one available in stock then get onto customer services and explain you will be needing a free courtesy car for the duration.

Alternatively, suggest that they get one of the Garret ones (like Derv Doctor sell) from VW or Seat.

Out of interest, how much warranty is left on the car?

IIRC, out of the three years warranty, the first two are covered by Skoda and the final year is covered by the dealer. So in my experience, if anything happens during the final year, the dealer will drag their feet and do anything they can to get out of it.

Good news is car is just less than 2 years old ......

problem is I am trading car in next weekend too ... so I have a loan car but I need to get it fixed ASAP ......

I suggested to Skoda about an equiv VW or AUDI part but they weren't too keen on the idea !! I am sure they all must be the same ....

Best hope still is somewhere in the country there is one sitting on someone's shelf in a dealer !!

Bad news .... I can't find any part anywhere in the countryt at the moment ....

So if any dealer has one on their shelf ... PLEASE SHOUT !

Skoda Part number is S038253010

Demand they buy the car off you at the PX price you were quoted for the working car if they can not repair it before your deadline.

What are you trading it in against? Is it another Skoda?

No unfortunatley not another Skoda ..... otherwise I would have insisted I would get new car and they just keep that one !!

You can have my standard turbo for 200 posted ;)

My local garage got one next day from KKK by courier when mine blew up?

Might be worth asking at the Skoda garage if you can help source one and see what they say?

If not, can they not contact the turbo manufacturer direct?

Put plenty of pressure on them!!

My VNT turbo was £695 all in from my local gagage.

Mine is not in warranty though, not sure what the MO would be to source the parts as it's still in warranty?.

Any ideas of KKK contact details or supplier details ? If its possible I'll go back to Skoda and ask the question, especially if they can provide within 24 hours !!

Not sure how I would stand as its a warranty claim !

Have you tried contacting Skoda UK directly about this issue?

Ohh yes they are involved ... just that they can't source one in the UK, having to go to Germany and its taking till 7th April !!

Was hoping that somewhere in the UK there may be an 'ordered' item that hasn't been returned .... but so far no luck !!

Been trying to find a KKK website but can't ...

My shiny new turbo has 1 year warranty on it from new, hence it's back at the local garage today for an oil change after 500 miles.

I did look for a KKK website but none seems to exist for them?

I rather suspect that Skoda won't have any of you helping to get one, though it does seem funny as the turbo would have come from KKK in the first place....unless Skoda (VW) have an agreement on cost with them?

Ben

Also strange that your garage had no problem getting hold of one Ben!
