My son has a 3 year old Fabia vrs, after a loud bang from the engine compartment it died. The car will now only run if the oil filler cap is removed. There is no milky deposit in the oil and oil/water levels have not changed. Turbo pipe looks OK. Can anyone help ?

if you refit the cap does it keep running ?
