Angel tuning remap

Featured Replies

getting more and more tempted by the day!! Just wondering if any of you have had any problems with yours? has anyone used the cardiff outlet? how did you find them?

I used the Cardiff outlet to get mine done.

Highly reccomend it. Will feel like a new car afterwards.

The only problem i've had is once i pushed it a bit too hard and put it into limp mode. A quick turn off and restart sorts that out.

I had the fiat mapped by angel tuning at 4,000 miles....

up to 36,000 now, and no problems at all

I have just had my wife's Polo 1.4Tdi done, its a great deal better now, also why he was there I got talking to him about my furby which was done by celtic tuning, I have never been happy with the style of the map or the amount of smoke, he said he would have a look for me and indeed the existing map was very severe low down, so the kind chap did me a gratis map and my furby now feels like I always wanted it to, it doesnt seem as harsh low down and now revs further with hardly any smoke, and pulls like a train right up to 4500rpm, So my advice is to use Angel Tuning.:thumbup:

I was talking to my Barber who had this renault laguna dci done at angel tuning

another thumbs up from him

hmmmm, I've heard nothing but trouble about angel tuning.....

But this was the newcastle outfit.

had my fabia vrs done with angel and it is spot on drive more like a petrol now pulls all the way through the revs but u will need a new clutch

only place I've heard angel dissed, is on the fiat forums, and thats because they are overrun by GSR and red dot racing, and I find their attitude dispicable..... they diss angel constantly (and any other mapping company, as if they're the only ones that can do a job) without any evidence, just so they can sell their own company, and their own maps...... they also have their own RR, so I'd be tempted to doubt their figures too, very easy to "ebellesh" when you're doing a before map and after map on your own RR......

acually the attidude on that forum suck so much I never post anymore, just lurk and shake my head at some of the comments :(

I must admit, this was a year or so ago on the Audi forums.

Changing the way you drive is cheaper than a new clutch. The Angel map doesn't have the huge torque spike that others do and the torque is also sustained past 4k rpm. As a rule of thumb- No WOT <2000rpm

A bit of mechanical empathy goes a long way.

Thanks for your help!! Its booked in for this saturday! Dont really want to be replacing a clutch just yet. Need some 312's and suspension first. Markyvrs how many miles have you done in yours since it was mapped?

from what i understand, a clutch is probably gonna be high up on the list of "next mods" when you have your remap, then again, it depends on how you drive and how harsh the remap is

  • 3 months later...

if you want your clutch to last then make sure you dont hover it with your foot whilst driving between gear changes. you may not think your touching it but every bump in the road will apply slight pressure to the clutch and wear it out in no time.

advanced driver. Fabia VRS standard but thinking of remap.

Got mine done by Paul @ Angel in Troon. Makes me drive me vRS like its a petrol.....makes me smile everytime i drive the car........AGAIN lol lol
