4x4 vrs?

Featured Replies

i was thinking to myself the other day whether it would b possible to fit a 4 wheel drive system from an octavia 4x4 on to my vrs. i havent a clue how it would be done but i am interested to know if it is theoretically possible. would seem like a good idea in principal. but not sure how practical. it might b easier to get a 4x4 and trick that up.

It would be better to do the reverse and vRS a 4x4.

Floorpan is completely different as is the fuel tank, wiring, prop, diff, haldex etc etc.

Probably be easier to sell your VRS, but a 1.8T 4x4 and tune it from there. There are a few members running 300bhp+ 4x4 1.8T's on here, and I'm sure they'll be along soon to share their experiences...

Would be by far the cheaper option I'd have thought even if you decided to put a VRS interior in there!

Thanks Bengie, I should know what I am doing by Early April. Im getting the prospective new wheels today for a few days to see if I like them. If all Ok I will buy & take it on a quick blast onto the continent the first weekend of April, if that gives all the :D factor & prooves a suitable tool for the sort of "Motoring holidays" I do then its decision time for the Octy.
