a minus on the skoda

Featured Replies

Hi all,

i have had my 4x4 hatch for 5 months now and i am more than pleased with its handling, looks and performace. However i am not at all pleased with the comfort of the standard seats. I dont know whether the vrs seats are better, at least they look it, but i was wondering whether anyone knows if Audi A4/A6 or golf seats (front and rear) would fit easily in my car.

Thanks

AFAIK, Golf seats should fit just fine. I don't know about the others you mention.

Try seats from the Golf they are very comfortable and very cheap, I paid 75 quid for a full interior from a Bora Sport.

Rears

They are so much more comfortable it seems that Skoda got the cheap and nasty seats.

Alex, do those seats have the side air bags?

Yep and so did the old ones

thanks guys, i think i will opt for the golf seats hopefully in leather

SimonT-Do it the difference is amazing, I managed to do Carlisle to Derby in one shot with no backpain or tiredness and it is not an expensive mod at all.

Kostas- I would stick with fabric as the leathers are as rare as hens teeth and very expensive, probably cheaper to get a set of GTI seats and get them recovered.

hopefully i will find a breaker who would part exchange my seats for the golf ones

Try www.UK-MKIVS.net a Golf MKIV forum and where I found my seats also give E-Bay a shot

I am tight and wouldnt spend 500 on a set of seats not too sure on the cost of recovering seats to be honest.
