Suspension bushes

Featured Replies

Hi all, I'm going to get a new suspension kit fitted in the next 2 weeks and wondered if anyone knows which/what bushes to get? I'm not thinking Powerflex, just new rubbers but I'm not sure what I'm looking for so need some help. Cheers

Don't waste your time fitting the standard bushes! SuperPro are very good from Jabbasport.

By fitting stiffer suspension you will increase the play in the bushes, so it is essesntial these are replaced with good quality polyurethane ones, these will never deteriorate or need changing again.

Jabba Sport - Motor Sport

The front wishbone bushes (front and rear) take a real pounding, especially the rear ones.

These will tighten up the handling without changing the ride quality!

Thanks Steevie,

is it literally just those front wishbone bushes I need – a rear pair and a front pair? I'm a bit crap when it comes to mechanics. What happens with the rear suspension? Cheers

The rear bushes (on the beam mount) are normally longer lasting as they don't get the same pounding as the fronts.

The front and rear bushes on the front wishbones are the ones you will need to replace.

Another good investment is the poly engine dog bone bush, this will help reduce 'wheel hop' and any sudden movement in the transmission/engine when giving it some stick!
