Grinding noise under 10mph

Featured Replies

Over the weekend the Fabia vrs has developed a horrible noise when moving at under 10mph.

It occurs whether the brakes are being used or not but dissapears over 10mph. At first I thought it might be a grabbing disk but it happens even if I coast to under 10mph without touching the brakes.

It might be a coincidence but this only started happening after a heavy shower of rain.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Visit to the dealers in order I think.

Sounds like grit on the brake pads.. try going out and giving it some stick :D

Tried that Col - a 1** to 30 stand on the anchors did not clear it.

It's so bloody annoying.

Furby is going into the dealers on Tuesday to be looked at - until then I'm having to drive the Octy.

Obstruction to bearings or axle.

SWMBO has just phoned me to say she went to the shops in it and it is now happening at up to 30mph too.

Not overly impressed to be honest.
