Anyone know if Norwich union insure a jabba chipped car?

Featured Replies

Just thinking of getting a jabba map as I need a new buzz in life and 110 horses aint enough to get me past that bus that pulls out in front of me every morning making me 10 mins late for work.

(I phoned them up a while ago and some Indian guy answered and said is that a gearbox modification? Tw*ts)

Nothing against indians but I wish Norwich Union had people that knew their stuff and had accents that I could understand clearly)

Anyone know for sure that Norwich Union will insure a chipped car or not??

Cheers

It will probably depend on many factors which will be unique to you.

I remember ringing up Norwich union about modification (just out of curiosity)

I asked what the difference would be if I added an induction kit, after a few minutes telling them how to spell it, they disappeared for about 5 minutes, then came back.

They then asked me if my car was turbo or super charged (I have a 1.4 mpi 8v) So I told them it was neither.

They then told me that to have an induction kit your car needs to have a turbo or super charger... I was highly annoyed that these people were my insurers, they know nothing but how to screw you out of money!!!

i have some mates who work for NUD/RAC (same company, same call centre in Norwich) and NUD will insure it, though RAC wont, and the price will be a unique price to you, taking into account your history, age, NCB etc etc.

Best thing to do is ring and ask

Neither NU nor NU Direct would insure my remapped Octavia, and NU Direct wouldn't insure any performance (engine) mods on my wife's Fabia vRS but did OK a rear ARB.
