hope it is something simple, im thinking about takin car off the road and stripping it so i dont have to pay labour, prices are ridiculous.

is vag com cheap i havent got a clue what to get and from where?

The ebay cable is cheap and will tell you the fault codes and let you erase them. The software is free to download from the ross-tech site.

But as iam sure stu will tell you if you want to do more the ross-tech one is the one to go for.

have you got one?

would you recommend buying 1, can they only read and delete faults not diagnose?

yes i have one. The ebay one can only read and delete codes.
