Hi everyone, hope you can advise me. I have a 2001 2.0l and noticed recently that the engine seemed down on power. This morning idle seemed lumpy and now the engine management light has come on and remains on. I noticed on forum that Coils seem to go but I'm no mechanic! Can any of you more learned enthusiasts help with a possible diagnosis. :confused: Thanks.

Plug leads, blocked fuel injector? The plugs are a pain to get at in this engine. It has a single coil pack, if it were at fault I would expect it to show a misfire on two cylinders.

The first step would be to get any fault codes read and go from there.
