New to Skoda and Keyfob Issue

Featured Replies

Hi all!!

I've just bought my first Skoda, a 2000 Octavia estate SLX 1.9 TDI. I absolutely love it!!

The only problems so far are, the rear wiper and the offside rear window don't work. The main problem though is the key.

I can unlock the car and start it fine, but can't use the alarm or CL. I got some new batteries for ir CR2016 3V, so now the red light on the fob is constantly on but it still doesn't work. Can I keep the blade and therefore immobiliser and key and just get a new central locking part? I only have 1 key though, could I still code the CL with just the 1?

Any advice greatly appreciated, as other than these probs, it's a great car.

Many thanks

Col
