Simota Induction kit - worth the money?

Featured Replies

Having done a bit of surfing around I see that it's possible to uprate the air intake - the Simota being one such kit.

I was wondering whether (a) it's worth doing (cost is around a ton) and (B) if it's easy to fit (by someone with a basic level of mechanical competence)?

Or should I go for a remap first (and if so, where's the best place to start looking?)

Imo the air intake will give you very little benefit and the original is adequate for standard or even remapped octys.

I would Defo go for the remap as it transforms the car in terms of power and torque.

OK, what remap is recommended? I'd like a bit more poke but crucially I don't want to lose fuel economy - in fact, if I can gain a bit of mpg then great!

remapping sounds like a good option, seriously considering this myself..

2x newbies, welcome boys.

I suppose it all depends on how much you want to spend and where you are located really. Decent remaps range from £125 upward.

Use the search function and plenty of opinions will pop up.
