No-one interested ?

Sorry Fabpreza,

You were just too late posting this asI had already ordered one to go with a Woodstock DAB head unit for my new L&K - got it from Bluespot!!

Don't know what area you are in, but you could try Loot.

Err... thanks for the tip - you should have looked in the For Sale forum first over the last several days - I could have saved you a fair bit on the Boreham's price !

Come on - this will be a bargain for someone willing to make a reasonable, genuine offer !

Retailer typical price for genuine UK model is

Fabpreza,

I tried to sell a multichanger on Briskoda once. Like you I had the whole 'one man thread' thing going on, I think they do it on purpose to see how desperate you get. Don't go any further or you'll end up selling it to Baaheed for twenty quid and delivering it yourself. (And probably fitting it.)

Widening the 'net' a little as we speak and giving up on here.

Its ok, I'm no mug when it comes to cars and Baheed can't have it for any less than

In my case, I already have a multichanger (albeit a cheapo Clarion one) so it didn't seem worth responding just to say "I already have one, but thanks for thinking of us" - but now I have!!! Where's the logic in that?

Fab,

would have been interested if it was the in-dash changer.

Price you want is good.

Sorry!

Cheers.

Adrian.

I looked at the in dash 6CD first but decided it was too much of a serious theft temptation...

First decent offer people...(See above)

Wrong forum - this should be in the "For Sale & Wanted" forum :nono:

I'm happy with my 6 disc changer. The speakers are a different story... :(

Durrrrrr..... you didn't read the first post then ? I guess you must be a moderator if you're wagging fingers ? If not then never mind eh

I'm delighted that you are happy with your 6 disc changer - I have two which is the whole point of this!

For what its worth, I also replaced the front speakers ( the above thread was live when the 'new front speakers' thread was getting serious traffic) with Infinitys, but am still not exactly over-awed with it.

You'll need to disconnect those rear tweeters. And put some louder speakers in the back

to compensate.

As for the position of the post in this forum...it is a bit anarchical! :p

I must have missed the thread on the rear speakers - I'll go and have a search. Thanks :bluegrab:

It does seem to be a problem of too much sharp treble and not enough bass from the back

I'm presuming that the estate has the same ones as the hatch.

I think my post about it was hidden in the thread about front speakers.

My trebles are still pretty sharp, but that's because I have essentially

six tweeters now (my front wing mirror ones are still in place).

Silencing the door ones makes a good deal of difference though, but

I found that I then couldn't hear the rear speakers much. So I opted

for the cheap Pioneer 13cm ones from Halfords, as they're quite

loud and have better low-end frequency response (on paper at least)

then the Infinity's.

So a nice bit of Jamiroqui is good - trebles nice and crisp, mid-ranges

handled nicely by the Infinity's and a nice bit of bass rumble from the

boot.

Sorry, I used to be a mod at The Safehouse, which had about 20,000 registered users. You had to be firm! Old habits die hard, I guess... :)

Instead of disconnecting the rear tweeters completely, would it be okay to put in a variable resistor to turn down the sound out of them, you'd have to set it up by the same amount on both sides.

It would be more hassle to put a variable resistor in! The easiest way to disconnect

them is to unplug half the wires into the speakers in the boot (takes about 3 seconds),

which is probably easier than messing about with resistors...
