revo re-map

Featured Replies

please forgive my ignorance but i have just bought a mk1 octavia vrs, the car has had a revo re-map and i would like to change the panel filter in the airbox, would fitting a different panel filter or forced induction kit to it make any difference with it having the remap, like if i fit a better filter would this make much difference and would i see a loss in bhp if i dont fit the same type of panel filter already fitted

because of it being remapped with that specific type of filter

hope that makes sense lol

I also have heard the Carbonio Induction Kit is really good , where can i get one of these

if you want to get the most out of the map i reacon you should get a cold air induction kit. any will do really.

the pannel is restricted by the little hole that goes into the wing lol

the CAI are a pipe from the MAF down the side of the battery into the bumper. a few of us have gone cheap and got the one from ebay for less that £40. it does the same jus its cheap.

dont go for the ones that have the cone were the box was as it will pull in warm air from the engine bay and you lose power(i know fm exp) the carbonio is good also K&N do one. In jen do one too but are ££££. look on ebay there is one on there.

woo hoo i picked my car up today and im so pleased to have a nice fast motor again

pics will be put up soon

Cant wait to see.....
