vRS TDi went to another RR Session today...

Featured Replies

Second session in it's life

This time it's up on Power, but down on Torque (Over the last run)

The only differences being;

BP Ultimate Diesel instead of Shell V-Power Diesel

4-5000 Miles of use

I'm up on power by 4.1 HP, and down on Torque by around 20 lb/ft (back to near standard figures)

I'm blaming the fuel - really i need to do a run on 'Normal' Diesel for a true comparison :P

Still, it's not shy. And great fun. :D

Add a couple of other pics for good measure;

And although its the same brand of RR as at JKM, the operators would have been different and the car could have been benchmarked in a different fashion that at JKM. You never know how they're gonna do it. :D

How did the others do, I nearly set off this morning to come and see you lot but thought better of it with SWMBO keeping an eye on me! :)

Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

You should have done - shown up a few Cavalier Turbo 4x4's and a Nissan 350Z :cool:

Anyway to answer that;

- Me 177.9bhp

- SWMBO's Corsa Sport 1.4 - 101.3bhp

- Celica GT-Four - 298.2bhp

- Nissan 350Z - 256bhp

- Cav 2.5 V6 - 177bhp

- Cav Turbo - 289bhp

- Cav Turbo - 270bhp

- Cav Turbo - 255bhp

- Cav Turbo - 239.9bhp

- Vectra V6 - 207.4bhp

- Monaro 5.7 V8 (Non-VXR) - 393bhp

- Cav 2.0 8v - 119bhp

Not bad - a few more non Vauxhall's turned up - Impreza's mainly (RR Centre being a Subaru Specialist...)

Good fun too - we generally hold one every 3-4 months - so will have a summer one too.

I should have got an award for being the 'Cleanest' Car on the day;

Might have to return to the airport with a clean car if i wanted to try for that... haha

On the point of losing things, on my first JKM RR i had 242 bhp, then second one at the RR day 231bhp. Boys at JKM asked me what i done with it.Nothing at all. Put it down to 1st time engine was cold, 2nd it had been warmed up

Pics are nice. You start cleaning it you will never stop:rofl:

Nah, looks good as it is... got the "used/rally" look... see enough perfectly detailed ones on here as it is :thumbup:

I generally wash it once a week and give it a Chamois; Do waaaaay too many miles to try to KEEP it clean and shiny

I'll give it a major clean/clay/polish and sort the interior once a month.

Im no cleaning/detailing whore. :rofl:

I kinda prefer the used look, just worry about heavy scratching cos of the abrasion if it gets rubbed etc... :rolleyes:

I'll second that - very atmospheric.

I'd agree as different fuels have different characteristics; plus also remember it was a degree warmer (less dense air) than on the JKM RR day.

Now that is really atmospheric!

Now that is really atmospheric!

I think so too....might inspire me to dig out the SLR again :)

I had a go at playing with the picture.

I'm not sure if not having the sky makes the car stand out more as it is a black car then a white sky or if it just looks a mess.

'eh in either case it's my contribution. But nice picture from the original poster anyway.

Sorry for double post but comparing the 2 side by side I think the one with the sky looks better. What do you guys think?
