Shorted my Cigarette Lighter - Now no Windows/Remote Locking/Lighter Socket - fuse ok

Featured Replies

I was removing my GPS lead and it fell apart, the metal bit fell into the cigarette lighter socket and sparked.

Now my electric windows don't work, my remote central locking does not work and also my lighter socket does not work... but..

The fuses don't seem to be blown? The fuse for the lighter is OK, but I can't find one labelled for the windows. Central locking fuses are also ok..

In fact I have checked ever fuse (in the box on the right side of the dash) and they are all intact...

Oh, it's a W reg Octy. Oh, and it's got an after-market alarm on it too..

Anyone know of any hidden fuses anywhere please???

On top of the battery there are a few more fuses there under the cover.

It could have blown one of the larger fuses uner the battery cover ......but I would be very surprised if it had done that without the lighter/window fuse blowing
