trailer socket wiring

Featured Replies

just wondered if anyone has done this to Mk 1 octavia...... is there a connection lead / plug already fittted as standard to car, or should i just use clip on connectors to piggy back onto cables near lights ..... please advise......:)

As far as I know there isnt a plug, but for the love of god dont use scotchlocks. Solder into the wire if you have to. I believe the genuine wring kits use pins and loops to open up the original connection and provide another for the trailer socket.

Id go along with that, the original wire is so thin the sctchblocks don't make contact
