Hi Everyone, I'm Bob from Sevenoaks and I've just bought my very first Skoda. After almost 40 years of petrol power, I became converted to the delights of diesel back in 2003 when I bought a 'Superchipped' Rover 25 which gave me good reliable service. Time moves on, though, and I fancied a later generation sporty vehicle and decided upon a Fabia VRS. I was lucky enough to find one locally - a July 06 in Black Magic which continues to put a smile on my face each and every time I drive it, especially since having it 'Superchipped'!

Now that I've introduced myself, I'd be grateful if someone could tell me how to remove the door mirror housing so that I can fix a minor split. The Haynes Manual describes how to do this, but I've had no joy - perhaps I'm just thick or afraid of breaking something!
